Who you’re working with
I’m Charlie Tyler. Poize is deliberately small — brief a project here and you’re briefing the person who writes the code and draws the screens.
The work splits about evenly between building things properly — Rails applications, Shopify stores, Next.js front ends — and helping companies work out where AI actually earns its place in what they already do.

QWhat does Poize do?
Poize is a London digital studio that builds custom websites, e-commerce stores and marketplaces, and helps companies put AI to work inside their existing operations. The work covers development, design, AI enablement, and search and AI visibility.

Ruby on Rails for custom applications and marketplaces, Shopify for e-commerce, and Next.js for front ends. Every build is custom rather than templated.

Yes — Poize is an official Shopify Partner, and builds, migrates and maintains stores on the platform.
QWhat are AEO and GEO?
AEO is answer engine optimisation; GEO is generative engine optimisation. Both describe making a site easy for AI assistants to read, trust and cite when they answer someone’s question — rather than only ranking in a traditional list of links. In practice the work overlaps heavily with technical SEO: fast, well-structured pages, machine-readable structured data, and content that answers the question directly.
